Gordon B. Lamb

President & CEO


Mr. Lamb is AAMG’s President and Chief Executive Officer.  As such, he is directly responsible for the supervision of all client accounts.  He possesses over forty years of experience in the securities business, having participated in debt and equity management and underwriting, as well as mergers and consolidations.  He has chaired the investment committee of a commercial bank and directed the investment funds of the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, for which he served six years as Commissioner.  During his tenure with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Mr. Lamb was responsible for establishing the employees’ retirement system.  This retirement system subsequently became a model for independent agencies throughout the state of Maryland.

Mr. Lamb served as President and founder of American Investment Managers, a registered investment advisory firm that works mainly with institutional accounts.  Mr. Lamb also has experience with mutual fund management.  He served as President of The Dividend/Growth Fund, Inc., which was managed by American Investment Managers, Inc.

Mr. Lamb was educated at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Maryland and has taken graduate courses in finance and banking at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.  He lectures on numerous financial and investment subjects at the University of Maryland, American University, George Mason University, and for numerous civic and professional organizations.

Mr. Lamb served his Carroll Valley community as a member of the Borough Planning Commission, the Borough Council and was its President during 2003 and 2004.
